Creating Visions: Part 2! (Zoom), January 6, 2024 11:00am - 12:00pm PST

Workshop Overview

This hour-long workshop will include guided meditations for intention-setting and surrendering, support around any blocks, challenges, “cannot’s,” “should not’s,” “don’t know how’s,” sharing of inspiration and visions, and setting each person up to create a “board” or visual of some kind for YOUR vision.

There will be a follow-up workshop on February 10 to share our vision boards and visuals, any shifts or miracles, as well as receive coaching and support around specific goal creation or potential breakdowns in living into your vision.

These workshops are donation based, no one will be turned away for lack of funds. There is a PayPal link for those who are called to offer a financial contribution.

Please sign up using the button link below to receive the workshop Zoom link.

We hope to see you there♡

Part Two Details

First, we wanted to say THANK YOU for those of you who were able to join us on December 2 and be part of the conversation about creating visions and vision boards. Your sharing, your voice, truly matters to us and in this world, and we are incredibly grateful for your support and collaboration in our Collective.

For those of you who were not able to attend and would have liked to, we are hosting a second part to this event to deepen the conversation, to support you in breaking through barriers, and to help you clarify your own unique process.

The second part will be held January 6, 2024 from 11:00am to 12:00pm PST via Zoom.

We will honor set and setting by offering practices that support creating a mindset of both intentionality and surrender, discuss ways to create the most effective environment for creating a visual, and answer any questions or address concerns.

What happened in Creating Vision Boards: part one?

As a reminder, or in case you missed it, we talked about the difference between goals/resolutions and a vision/mission. We borrowed from the book Chop Wood, Carry Water: How to Fall In Love with the Process of Becoming Great by Joshua Medcalf to distinguish between visions and goals. A vision acts as an internal compass, it can be continually refined, and it can be lived from wherever you are with whatever you have. No one but yourself can stop you from living out your vision.

We engaged in a grounding meditation to come inward and connect with ourselves in the here and now, as well as a heart centered meditation connecting to a sense of joy, inspiration, and love. It is from this place that we can get connected to a vision, allowing it to be received and created through you rather than generated from thoughts or ideas. The audios of these meditations will be available on our website this week for you to access.

There is a balance between intentionality and surrender: First, we set an intention to get connected to what inspires us in life, what ignites passion, what creates joy, what generates love. Second, we presence ourselves to the here and now. Third, we let go, we surrender to whatever shows up in our thoughts, emotions, memories, sensations, even if it is not what we expected. We get curious, we give deep compassion to any judgments without making them true, we generate wonder and openness.

As you begin the process of creating a visual, or simply reflect on your own vision, there are no wrong or right ways to do this. These prompts are invitations, and we always encourage you to do what feels right for you.

You can simply notice images, words, and/or objects that strike you, that move you, that inspire you and begin to collect them, watching what gets created. For example, you may be struck suddenly by a tree in the sunlight whose orange and yellow leaves seem to glow. Or be moved to tears seeing a woman give an unhoused man a gentle embrace. Or be taken by laughter at a small child’s imitation of their mother.

Let these land within you, seek out images, words, or objects to represent whatever has moved you, inspired you, touched you. Simply allow something to take shape. While at the same time, gently asking yourself, what am I up to in this life? You are both seeking and receiving, setting intentions and surrendering.

Our visions are incredibly powerful and they can transform—this is not some mystical conceptual manifestation, this can be seen throughout history, through individual and group visions. When we create and tend to our vision, we can create, we can transform, we can fail without it meaning anything, we can generate miracles. ★
